Two lines from the Steam feature list:

  • "Heavily moddable content"

Steam also tags the game as Moddable. That is everything official so far. No modding guide, schema or example files have been published.

What a custom personality likely involves

Callers are AI characters, so a personality is data, not code. Reading the feature description literally:

  • A JSON file describes the character. JSON is a plain-text format, so editing one needs nothing more than a text editor.
  • A WAV file gives the character a voice. "Voice cloning" means the game uses the audio sample as the reference for how the caller sounds.

Which fields the JSON takes, how long the audio sample should be and where the files go are not public. We will document the format with working examples once the Early Access build is out.

What "heavily moddable" might cover

The developers have not listed what else can be changed. Given how the game is built, scam scenarios and callers are the obvious candidates, but that is our reading, not a confirmed list. The Early Access notes do say more scenarios and callers are planned for the full release.
